The International Order of St. Luke the Physician is an ecumenical organization dedicated to the Christian healing ministry. Members meet in local chapters to study Scripture, specifically the biblical stories of the healing miracles, as well as additional books on Christian healing. Members also engage in healing prayer, often with the laying-on of hands.

Good Shepherd’s chapter of the Order of St. Luke is very active, offering healing prayers after the 10:30 a.m. Sunday Eucharist and coordinating with the Prayer Shawl Ministry to visit, gift, and offer healing prayers with shawl recipients.

Preparation for participation requires a six-month study (meeting twice a month) of the healing miracles of Jesus Christ as found in the four gospels – Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. All that is required is that you love the Lord and feel called to promote the mental, physical, and spiritual health of those in need.

If you have any questions, or if you are interested in serving the Lord in this ministry, please call Fran McClelland at (714) 335-3738 or Art Conn at (951) 306-5478. For further information, view the video below or visit the Order of St. Luke‘s website at orderofstluke.org.
